Chateau Lyon Residence in North Carolina

Chateau Lyon Residence in North Carolina 15

There is no ordinary-looking corner in this mansion. Large and sumptuous, the Chateau Lyon is a five bedroom, six bathroom residence in Charlotte, North Carolina. It flaunts a spectacular combination of precious elements like the 250 years-old heart pine flooring at the upper level, the antique European roof tiles, the cypress eaves and ceiling in the grand saloon and the loggia, or the original balcony grill of the 1880s.

The structure itself is also very special, as it features hand-cut Texas limestone foundation walls, French limestone walls, and hand carved pinon stone from Mexico, surrounding the exterior doors and windows. To all this the designers added a beautiful Italian chandelier in the Palm Court, over 100 years old hand-carved restored doors, hand-forged Mar-a-Lago balcony, and many more.

But all this does not mean that the house is old and shabby as a final outcome. On the contrary, it is extremely solid and it features very modern technologies such as 13 heating-cooling zones, the Crestron Home Control and Automation system, and a Generac generator.
