A new jaw-dropping hybrid SUV concept has been unveiled by General Motors. The Buick Envision is specially made for the Chinese auto market by Shanghai GM in collaboration with the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center. Preserving some design cues of the company’s current models (like the waterfall front grille), the Envision bring a lot of new and alluring curves and angles.
The SUV’s 2.0-liter direct-injection gasoline engine is helped by two electric motors and it is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. For a plus of energy, the carbon-fiber vehicle features a solar charging system (photovoltaic cell on the roof). All this power is stored in a lithium-ion battery, of course.
