Located in Vancouver, Washington, this lovely house belongs to a retired couple. They asked Rick Berry from Scott Edwards Architecture to make them a one level home that would offer beautiful views of the Columbia river. The 2,000 square foot home (called the Hotchkiss Residence) is very modern in every aspect, but at the same time very pleasant and warm. The house was designed to invite the sun in, so there is plenty natural light flooding the rooms daily. The interior is also very balanced and airy.
