The most important characteristic of this house is the fact that it continuously interacts with light, acknowledging every movement of the sun throughout the day. It is called Casa Viva and it was designed and constructed by Gómez de la Torre & Guerrero Arquitectos.

Large airy interiors invite natural light inside, while various sliding features can also ensure shadow and intimacy whenever the owner desires. Located in in Playa Gaviotas, Canete, Perú this is a home with three levels where spaces can interact or become completely separated. The different needs of the dwellers will dictate how and to what extend the various areas of the residence will communicate.

The transition from inside to outside can be accomplished seamlessly, and there is more than one reason to make this transition every day. As enchanting and welcoming as the interiors are, the outdoor living and entertaining spaces are so perfectly designed that no one can really remain inside for too long.
