Electric skateboards are not exactly mainstream just yet, and off-road electric skateboards are even rarer. Still, the BajaBoard offers incredible potential, as it basically represents an ATV crossed with a snowboard, which is why we decided to give it a closer look. The interesting part is that the owner can choose to equip this thing with a 600Wh or 900Wh battery, with the latter choice being able to offer a better range while the smaller battery serves to bring the price down.
BajaBoard can reach a top speed of up to 31 miles per hours, and it rides on 10-inch pneumatic tires and an independent suspension for each wheel. The suspension plays a key role in the board’s off-roading capabilities. Moreover, the rider enjoys access to real-time feedback regarding battery life, throttle, and speed, all thanks to a handheld remote equipped with an LCD screen.
