Awesome Ducati S2R 800 Duc Soup by Manuel Ayllon

This stunning Ducati is the work of a mechanical engineering student who wanted to prove that motorcycles are often much heavier and complicated than they have to be. Consequently, for his final project as a student at Instituto Catolico de Artes e Industria in Madrid, Manuel Ayllon created a custom Ducati S2R800 Duc Soup that weighs only 341 lbs. on a full tank.

The 23 year old motorcycle enthusiast completed this project with support from Anthony Keelingof Chassis Design Co. in Riverside, California, and Todd Silicatoof Todd’s Cycle in Hawaii. It all started with this simple question: “Why are bikes so heavy and complicated when it is not strictly necessary?” Manuel then got rid of everything unessential from the original version of the Ducati. The new ride looks amazing and proves a point: less is definitely more.
