Audi Worthersee Performance Electric Bicycle

Audi Worthersee Performance Electric Bicycle (2)

This outstanding e-bike has been officially unveiled by Audi at the 31st edition Worthersee Tour, just a couple of days ago. It is an electric bicycle for sports and trick cycling, with a CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer) frame, a 2.3kW electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery.

With a great sporty design, the bike rolls on 26-inch wheels with flat spokes that increase the power pedal’s transmission. The power-to-weight ratio is 19.8 pounds per kilowatt, making this a very desirable performance bike. Riders can choose between different cycling modes: electric motor alone (Egrip), electric motor and pedaling support (Pedelec), or human-powered alone (Pure).

Because trick cycling is always more fun if there’s someone to film the action, Audi also introduced a helmet with incorporated camera, and a touchscreen computer in the bike’s design, which can be connected to a smartphone via WLAN. The videos that you make with your helmet on can then be uploaded via your mobile device on the web, for your friends and enemies to watch and be amazed.
