Aston Martin Is Working on the New Vantage

A new competition version of the amazing Vantage is getting ready to conquer the world. Called the V12 Vantage GT3, the awesome car was first teased in April, 2011. It seems that Aston Martin has taken some serious steps forward with the project, as the British automaker is now testing the car to see what needs to be changed and adapted for the final version.

Powering the new beast is a 6.0-liter V12 that promises ground-shaking performance (over 600 hp and 700 Nm of torque). Sending this power to the wheels is an Xtrac 6-speed sequential transmission with semi-auto gear change and limited slip ramp/plate differential. The car is built on a lightweight aluminum chassis and stands on adjustable suspensions.

The removable carbon fiber body panels and aluminum roof enhance the ride’s aerodynamics, and so do the front splitter, the adjustable carbon rear wing, the rear fenders, the bumpers, and the side sills. See more in the high-quality photos below.
