Apoka: Discover the African Wildlife Surrounded by Luxury

Apoka Discover the African Wildlife Surrounded by Luxury (11)

Situated in the south-western sector of Kidepo Valley National Park in Africa, Apoka Lodge is a beautiful luxury safari resort overlooking the Narus river. The Park is located in north-east Uganda, only five kilometers away from the Kenyan border. Here visitors can discover the African wildlife in a glorious pristine wilderness.

Over 460 animal species live in the Kidepo Valley National Park, including four of Africa’s Big Five: the lion, the leopard, the buffalo, and the elephant (the rhino is the only one in the notorious group that doesn’t live here). There are 58 different types of raptors at Kidepo and many different reptiles including crocodiles, tortoises, turtles, lizards, skinks and agamas. Other animals include giraffes, zebras, elands, Tantalus monkeys and many more.

Occupying a very remote area of the park, Apoka consists of ten separate luxury cottages with inside and outside showers, private verandas and luxe fittings throughout. You can visit Apoka both on the dry and on the rainy season, as temperatures are never really cold during the day. At night however, you might need some warmer clothes, regardless of the season.
