South African shop Allers Rods & Customs is based on a dedicated team of experts who are well-versed when it comes to street rods, muscle cars and hot rods. Their 1976 Land Cruiser FJ 40 hot rod is an outstanding ride, mainly because it’s basically a Land Cruiser converted into a rat rod. It was put together for the South African backcountry, and it impresses with widened wheels, an in-house front suspension and a differential borrowed from a Land Rover Discovery.
Other noteworthy details include a Momo steering wheel, a roll cage, a Lexus radio and seats sourced from a Jeep Wrangler.
