Located within the Manafia area of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, the Abraj Kudai hotel is an upcoming project that’s set to become the world’s largest hotel by 2017. The establishment will boasts 10,000 rooms as well as several food courts, 70 restaurants, a shopping mall, a bus station, a ballroom and a conference center.
The design will include a total of 12 impressive towers that sit onto a 10-story podium. At the hotel’s core, there is a sizeable dome that gives off an elegant, almost cathedral-like look. Apart from offering exquisite accommodations for guests, Abraj Kudai will also include five special floors dedicated to the Saudi royal family. The building was sketched out by the Dar Al-Handasah group, and the $3.6 billion construction process will be funded by the Saudi Ministry of Finance. This just goes to show just how immensely rich Saudi Arabia really is.
