Released originally about two decades ago, the Herman Miller Aeron office chair is finally receiving a makeover, but the fact that its design remained untouched for so long is actually a testament to its perfection. The initial idea was to create an office chair that would fit all people while ensuring a proper amount of responsiveness and suspension.
The improved version of this model includes a brand new 8Z Pellicle fabric, which manages to create eight different latitudinal zones of varying tension. This makes the user feel as if his or her body is being fully enveloped, which definitely sounds quite comfortable. Apart from the improved fabric, the product is also equipped with a smooth tilt mechanism, it has three frame color options, and it offers a posture-fit SL spinal support with a pair of adjustable pads. The $780 price tag is a bit steep for a “mere” chair, but it really doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to office equipment.
